Sacred Cacao Ceremony

Join us for a magical night of heart-opening, deeply healing, co-creative ceremony!

During our Sacred Cacao Ceremony, we will call on the help of Ixcacao, the sacred Cacao Deva, the spirit of music as well as shamanic energy healing, to create a beautiful container of shared love and intention in which we can journey to our deepest selves, release all that no longer serves us and build strong connections within our community.

We will begin by drinking a ceremonial portion of Cacao, which has been grown, harvested and prepared in prayer and with the highest respect for the sacred spirit of the cacao plant. As the cacao begins to work itself through our system we will assist the opening and expansion of our Heart Chakra by facilitating a simple call-and response Song Circle in which we will liberate our voices and allow ourselves to open to the beauty of co-creating in community. From there we will make time for each participant to journey deeper with the Cacao Deva, allowing her to reveal to us the beauty of our divine selves and releasing any energies and patterns that we have come to completion with. During this time you will be bathed in a Sound Healing journey, while Michelle will administer individual energy healing and clearing where needed. The Circle will also feature a Water Altar, at which we will have the opportunity to connect with this sacred element to offer prayers for the healing of Mother Earth’s water ways, as well as to ask for Mama Water’s blessings in return.

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to co-create beauty, deep connection and healing for ourselves and our community!

About Ceremonial Cacao:

According to both archaeologists and Mayan spiritual elders, the Cacao Spirit was one of the most powerful deities in ancient Mayan cosmology.  While the ancient Mayans and Aztecs of Southern Mexico and Guatemala are best known, there are contemporary Indigenous cultures in Central and South America who continue cacao use in shamanic ceremony, preferring it to locally available psychedelics.  With today’s psychedelic buzz, you may not have heard much of them.  Although one of this world’s finest spiritual or shamanic partners, cacao was ignored in the ‘60’s resurgence of medicine plants because it does not act like a psychedelic – it does not take you on its trip, but facilitates your own.

Ceremonial details of how ancient cultures used chocolate are not known.  It is Cacao’s choice to return at this time, and I am having fun being part of Her flow.
